dark light

I am the rain
I am the desert
I am the Lake of Tranquillity
“I believe in love, even when I don’t feel it…”

Wet, red, saturates African soil
Summer cloud, banks, screwed
Crops rotten, criminals reign
“I believe in the sun, even when I don’t see it…”

Abandoned horizons, quivering
Hope asphyxiated, freedomless
Justice stumbling through this wilderness
“I believe in God, even when He’s quiet…”

Lifeless fountain, nourishing dust
Promises wax and wane, eclipsed
When will your rainbowpeople rise?
“I believe in love, even when I don’t feel it…”
